Corian is brand name created by Dupont. DuPont, is an American chemical company and developed many polymers, one of them is corian. It is composed of acrylic polymer and alumina trihydrate (ATH). Corian is manufactured in three thicknesses: 6 millimetres (0.24 in), 12 millimetres (0.47 in), and 19 millimetres (0.75 in) It can be cut, routed, drilled, sculpted, bent, or worked like a fine wood. Because it is man-made, Corian countertops come in a variety of colors and patterns – over 100 different colors to be exact.

Corian countertops are easy to clean, and they are not affected by chemicals in common household cleaners but harsh cleaners or chemicals like oven cleaners. They are also resistant to stains as they are non-porous. To keep your countertop looking its best, you should clean the countertop and then dry it completely.
